I quit this game... It's just way too boring playing the same stuff over and over.

I'm almost with ya bud. I'm at the point where all I can really do is farm gold and use AH. I played starcraft again last night for the 2nd time since diablo came out. I'm feelin there are more sc2 nights on the way. :)

Are you guys really surprised? If that's not what you were doing when you were in your level 80+ on D2 then you're going to end up getting bored and moving on.

I'm probably going to give the witch doctor a run through once my monk is 60 (and when i don't feel like valor farming)

I didn't play d2. I heard how much it got replayed and I thought this game would be better then it is and I thought I would play it more. Don't get me wrong I had tons of fun putting in the hours I did but it has become a tedious grind for nothing right now. Plus I hate publics and noone to play Inferno with. Play video games by yourself really is not much fun...... at least for me.

pretty much already have got bored and am moving on. :) I'll prob hop on for a boss run every now and then but thats about it.

I'm pretty close too. Haven't logged any game time for a few days and no real desire to go back.

Item drops are completely out to lunch... there is absolutely no way I should be able to go for 8 game hours without a single drop worth looking at. I refuse to use the AH which seems to be what the game is designed for.

I've also noticed that the "blues" on the bliz forums seem to have taken a hiatus.... maybe the PTB over there have gotten tired of making excuses.

Overall, I suspect blizzard will still make a pile of money off of this, but it'll be off of casual players rather than the old DII fan base. They'll be playing TL2 when it comes out.

Yeah the drops do seem to partially be out to lunch.

One thing I've found that's really helped gear myself up is playing with someone as they get different drops. I can't count how many times the fiancee and I have given each other magical, rares, or even a legendary to the other because it benefited that character instead of our own. I get a really big feeling Blizz intended this game to be played with 2-4 people, sharing loot between themselves, as like I just said it seems the best way to get drops/items.

That all changes in act 1 and 2 inferno. The drops you get are not nearly good enough to gear up for the act or next act. You have no choice but to farm gold and buy items from the AH. I'm at the point where every item that I want and is an upgrade cost upwards of 2 million gold. I'm simply not into tediously farming gold for days to get 1 single upgrade item.

Like I mentioned, playing with someone allows you more access to drops. I have gotten countless things useless for my character, but is quite good/helps out my fiancee and vise versa because we play different classes with different main stat.

I don't think D3 was designed for solo play in mind to get the best gear the quickest, i think it's co-op with people loot sharing, especially for inferno

i also think this is why it is important to have mmultiple characters and builds, this allows you to go a bit further with the game..i.e. my barb hit 60 today and entered inferno, its super hard, and gets super frusterating, however, i know i can still have [plenty of fun with my lvl 32 dh...or level 20 wiz...

No such thing as a "different build" in this game.... the only difference would be gear, and that's what the large stash is for.

After talking about it, I'm back to doing hell NV runs for cash / crafting materials. Maybe I can keep myself occupied doing that until TL2 is released, and/or they release a major patch for DIII that completely changes the game mechanics / philosophy.
