I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that once I find a RoRG I'll already be geared up better than anything it could provide. Dropped yet another set of bracers this morning, and then dropped one of the act 1 maces from an ACT V cache.

I tried deadly reach and aside from feeling slower than snot, it didn't seem to proc much more than my current WotHF does. Hard to tell though with lightening from T-gods and SW going off at the same time. I probably should give the lightning DS rune a shot, but I'm awfully dependent on using it to move out of danger so I'm not sure. :)

edit: NVM... didn't realise that there wasn't a lightning rune for DS... guess I'll stick with the three dashes then since nothing else looks worthy of using.

Not the roll I would have preferred, but relatively happy to see this drop. only left with possibly the lightning% mace and a lightning ammy (it'd be pretty damn hard to replace the one I've got though).

Your luck vs mine is absolutely redonc.

Ive pritty much given up I havnt found an upgrade in WEEKS, and in your past few posts you've gotten atleast FIVE new items in the same time period. And you complain about them being not perfect. LMFAO.

I jest, (a little bit atleast) that you make me sick. /ragequit

Heh... I have actually had a pretty decent run over the last week. Prior to that, I'd gone quite a few weeks without finding much in the way of upgrades.... lots of sidegrades, but nothing earth shattering.

I'm looking forward to ladders/seasons so that each build can get back to feeling fresh again.

depending on the gear you have upgrades are more or less going to be sidegrades at best, or just building blocks for another set. the ptr has been amazingly fun and some of the new legs are dumbfoundingly broken. either way i feel it takes blizzard way too long to bring out patches!

So it looks like a lightning damage Monk is the way to go for the class?

I am actually collecting some gear for my Monk ... my DH has the dumbest luck, Monk set pieces drop on her.

Sure, if you're going to play one now is the time to do it, and lightning is the easiest route (with a cindercoat Fire Monk a VERY close second). Once 2.1 drops I would recommend playing any other class. The monk is by far the worst class for damage, survivability and abilities post 2.1

With the upcoming nerf to EP, and without knowing what potential buffs Blizz has lined up for us, Stormbreaker (Raiment/jawbreaker) is BY FAR our most viable T6 spec.

I've tried LTK lightning spec and generatorless fire spec (with all the BiS fire items), but nothing came close to the dmg output and survivability of that Raiment spec. T6 rifts take me anywhere from 7-12 mins, depending on density.

Nice,

I'll try your build. Missing one set piece though >< (have RoRG so only need 5, but have 4 at the moment).
