All of my crafting pages/tombs are now demonic essence, all crafting materials are now inferno level, mantra's now are active all the time, fists of thunder now jumps you to the target regardless of the rune...

Loot does seem better though

Is it class specific or you find int and str on same items still?

Supposedly you get items more tailored to the character your playing, I did pick up an amulet this AM in the short time I was playing that had 119 Str, 262 Int, 319 Vit and 49 all resist with one of my Monks.

From what I've gathered from the release notes, it a chance to have a smart roll (i.e. class specific) but they don't give the percentage, however class specific items are supposed to roll necessary attributes (guaranteed dex for fists, strength for mighty belts, etc).

Another heads up for folks who may not have been watching the comments during beta / PTR.... Max IAS has been nerfed down (I think it's 6 now) so don't automatically vendor/salvage your legacy items when you find a "better" one.

So far I'm not unhappy with the game play as it stands, but then again I started a new barb from scratch to see the natural skill progression as opposed to QQing about the nerfs to the skills of my full paragon one. :)

i played a lot of PTR and found the leveling to be great and the drops to be better than before. The number of legendaries for me was good, and the 100% drop on the last bosses is a nice plus as you level to 60.

I played my HC monk last night, my original HC monk died a while ago with 14 paragon levels. The little boost of paragon is nice, and my lvl 58 self found HC monk found upgrades often. I got an upgrade on each boss kill, amulet, ring, pants, and weapon. Leveled to 60 in under 2 hours just playing on normal.

My SC monk, playing less than a hour, made around 120mil XP. I am well geared from the AH on SC and we felt that Torment 1 felt like MP1 or 2. My buddy and I will start bumping up Torment until we hit a wall, which I think will be around Torment IV. I got a set amulet, Blackthorne's, within my first hour. The set bonus of immune to 3 elite affixes will be cool.

As for the whole bind on account thing, I played D2 for a long time, and all that time was alone. I never joined public games, never traded, just played and found my own stuff, so the crying about BoA is a non-issue. I think having a real money AH created a class of player who tried to get rich and didn't care about playing the game for fun. Take away a possible source of income from anyone and you will have whining. In the long run this is better for the "game" itself.

All in all, I am looking forward to the expansion, I can't wait to play a Crusader and to level him from 1 to 70 going through the whole story again just to hear the new banter and converstations from the followers, etc. It will be fun to get new items past level 60, and it will be great to see some new content from Act V, the mystic, etc. Once I make level 70 on the Crusader I'll then use adventure mode for my other 5 level 60s and get them to 70, and from there, start bumping the Torment levels to farm the new keys for the new Hellfire ring. I have a couple of thousand hours in D3, and I figure the x-pac will bring another thousand or two! Good value for my money.

That was pretty much my experience as well. I did do a bit of trading when I found an item I thought others might want, but that was more about not wanting to vendor a decent item I'd never use as opposed to getting something for myself.

I always considered DII to be a single player game with a bit of social/multiplayer tagged on, and have treated DIII much the same.
