So how much better is this then D3? I just got a couple copies of D3 yesterday off a friend and my son and I like it so far but haven't done to much yet.

Been playing the press copy for 3 days now.

This is the kind of game that will make Diablo III players say "I paid HOW much for DIII!?!?!?!"

I makes Blizzard look like the money leaches they really are....

I haven't got a chance to play it yet, but if comments by folks who've got their hands on the beta are to be believed it's a hugely better game WRT playability and longevity but you've got to be able to get past the cartoony graphics.

edit: It's live, but currently trying to install the initial setup so we'll see how well the servers do. :)

Just did a quick session (single player) and while the graphics are going to take a bit to get used to, right from the get go it's obvious how much more diverse the itemization is than DIII.

Between this, Krater and Endless Space, for me at least, it will be VERY hard to go back to the "big name" studios in the future.

For me, gameplay is much more important than fancy graphics. I still go back to older games (civ and pirates gold come to mind) for the pure joy in a well designed game. That said, there are a lot of folks out there (and we saw this with PoE) who just can't get past poor graphics.

The graphics on this aren't bad, they're just different.
