Default A theoretical Drago Age question

Ok, I own the hardcopy of DragonAge Origns CE with all the extras it came with as well as the DLC. Now I have recently found steam to be quite convinient when it comes to just about anything to do with games, managing, consolating, not ever worrying about lost or scratched cds. So I was wondering if I could move all my "goodies" over to a dragon age steam install from my retail edition. It is based on loging in to a degree so I'm hoping its theoretically possible if DA ever coems on sale on steam.

Second question, not theoretical anymore, why the hell does dragon age have an 11gig file in my document folder?

That is where all your DLC content goes. For whatever reason thats what bioware did with it. I am fairly certain this is the only Bioware game that does it. Your DLC content is tied to your Bioware/EA account so it doesn't really matter as you can download it again off their website and it checks when you log in anyways (it will tell you what content you own, what you can download and whats installed)

I think mass effect 2 does it that way as well. And while I dislike it for the most problem as I have quite a few connexion problems with the cerebus network and the fact that I need internet to play a single player game is ridiculous but at the same time, and doesn't really make up for all that, the flexibility offered by it could be very nice, theoreticslly

I know for DA:O you need to be connected, at least if you have DLC. However you don't need to be connected to the net for ME2, you lose access to the cerberus network which doesn't seem to do anything.

The online extended content has been broken for me since about 1 month into the game. None of the character information seems to update.
