Supcom 1 - Does anyone know why?

Hi guys,

Does anyone know why when you save a game in supreme commander during skirmish, when you load that game up again it doesn't play at the game speed setting you set it to (if i play the game set on "fast" then i load it up and the speed is set back to "normal")

Is there a way around this to set it back to fast?
