Default Call of Duty 4 Map pack

I have COD4, which in my honest opinion is so much better than MW2 for PS3.

I really like the map packs, but I never bought them because I thought that the game would be dead shortly after. I have 10 bucks sitting in my account, should I just buy it?

Also does anyone know if there are active players for the map pack at all for ps3? I know for sure that the normal maps are filled with AT LEAST 20k people because Its so easy to find a server to play in.

so basically should I buy it, and do a lot of people play on the map packs?

Ya, I thought everyone already had the "variety map pack" for CoD4 already. Its worth it if you play CoD4 often but I'm still surprised you haven't grabbed it yet. That's funny you though it would be empty in CoD4 when that map pack came out like what 2 years ago?

the thing with COD MW2 is that you can't play it the same way you played in COD4.

for the first week I had MW2, I played exactly as I did in COD4 and was doing ok. But I got hooked when I actually had a regular group of friends to play with, and we'd usually be forced to play ground war due to the party size. and that is what changed for me. Then it was a matter of what you wanted out of the game. For me, I wanted to get all 5 extra custom class slots, so I focused on doing things that got me more XP. In COD4, I'd only use a couple guns all the time, but in MW2, I've used every AR, 3 of the SMGs, 2 of the LMGs, and 1 sniper rifle (along with a bunch of rockets and 2 shotguns) all in the name of ranking up ASAP. I stopped worrying about KD Ratio and just focused on getting XP. my KD ratio in COD4 was around 1.4-1.5, and in MW2 it started around the same, and then dropped to 1.02 when I started to focus on reaching 9th prestige. and as I progressed I raised my KD ratio back to 1.13-1.14.

Playing on my own isn't any fun anymore, if you play objective matches with randoms, you'll always run into people who don't help, or hackers.. or worst boosters. even in FFA things get crappy really fast. And there's nothing like getting your first nuke.
