Red Dead Redemption is probably one of the only console games I have that could compare to a high end PC game's graphics.
Interesting that you used RDR as an example for PS3 graphics, since it was slammed kind of hard for it's much inferior graphical representation compared to the 360. I think you should play Uncharted 2. ;)

I must say I also prefer GTA on PS3
I would say many 3rd person action games are better with a controller. I tried playing AC1 on PC with a kb/mouse and it was less than spectacular. I quit after about 4-5 hours. Then I played it on my PS3 and it was actually fun so I finished it!

I prefer third-person, racing and simulation (excluding joysticks) games on consoles. Third-person definitely just feels right with a controller, even if aiming is only a fraction as precise compared to a mouse.

I just play those types of games on my PC with a 360 controller. Best of both worlds.

WTF! I can't see why people would bash it saying that the graphics weren't good for PS3. I thought they were superb...

I haven't played RDR yet so I can't comment from experience, but it does sound like the PS3 got shafted a bit. Side by side there is a notable difference due to the lower res and type of anti aliasing used on teh PS3. But having said that, I don't think it looks like total crap, it could just be better. Well according to this video anyways...

I do that for any games that you can get on PC. I use my consoles for exclusives, split screen co-op, or games I want to play with certain people online.
