Is the code tied to your Xbox live/PSN account? If it is, than it screw buyers with multiple accounts. On top of that Xbox 360 players already pay for their online service, now they have to pay another amount to play online if they buy used. That is ridiculous.

EULAs are not legally binding if it conflicts with laws.

Yes smart business in it for the long run does not screw the consumer. People fight back out of principle.

I shall naively hope this will stick to their sports franchises, the only one I ever played was NHL and they stopped making that for PC.

"If you have already redeemed the code from your game manual or purchased Online Pass access, you will be able to access online features from any console using the same Xbox 360 gamer tag or Playstation3 persona. You may need to go to the ‘my downloaded content’ section in Xbox LIVE Marketplace or PSN Store to re-download your EA SPORTS Online Pass."

"If you have purchased Online Pass access or redeemed a code for free access on one console, you can use your access on any other console. To do so, sign in using your Xbox LIVE gamertag or PSN ID persona on your friend’s console when playing online."

Seems like it.

It's only going to get worse.

You want to get past level 10? That'll be 20 more dollars.
You want to unlock the final race in the Gran Prix? 20 dollars.
You want to see the end of this cutscene? .... 20 dollars.

It is hurting sales. The problem is that publishers are blaming it on piracy instead of DRM.

I believe a three letter response is warranted:

That I agree. They are inviting all the crackers to a nice challenge though.
The frustration of a few overpaid men in suit is the joy of a few other beer drinking basement dweller metalheads who like to piss them off
