Why not just use a wireless 360 controller?

Seemed to be the weapon of choice when the same thing was asked over at arstechnica:

If your going to buy a gamepad there is only one worth the money and it as GregH said the Xbox 360. And I would definately get the wireless version. I got the wired version and I'm kicking myself, for a few bucks more I could have had one less wire cluttering up the place.

I prefer the wired version of the 360 controller myself. More comfortable, less lag, and no batteries to worry about. To each their own though.

The wired version of the 360 controller is pretty good. I've also used a USB adapter and used a PS2 controller, mapped with the JoytoKey program. I would recommend against logitech game pads as everyone that I've ever had has been a piece of junk and was very low quality.

I'll suggest the wired 360 controller. You could go the wireless route, but you'll have to also buy the wireless receiver. Plus, I like the lighter feel of the wired controller. I use the wired controller over the wireless for my console as well.

Ditto on the 360 controller. I have the wired version, and love it, especially when the games are GFLW compliant.
