Default Beat Hazard

Anyone else get this game? Apparantly is was released two days ago on steam and is 25% off (though I believe it was out on xbox long before). After checking out youtube and have previously loved audiosurf, I got the game only to love it! Much more concentration was required and oh did it make me teary (I believe playing the game at 7:30am may have had something to do with that)

One of many videos on youtube. (The music + bonuses control rate and volume of fire)
YouTube - Beat Hazard (Master Exploder - Tenacious D) - Hardcore Difficulty

I saw this the other day on steam and have been debating getting it. I also enjoyed Audiosurf, I wish there was a demo so I can try it out.

After playing a few more rounds, I'd definitely suggest it. The game, like audiosurf, is really simply and easy in concept. Its just a matter of staying in focus.

Unlike audiosurf however, concentration is required for two parts at one instance, where you're targeting, and where you're moving, it definitely requires that seizure warning more than audiosurf does!

I bought it on xbox live and i love it. It sucks when a small piece of a meteor hits you from behind. Only complaint I have with it on xbox is you have to use music from your ipod.

Yep...I just bought it. It's a lot of fun, but I foresee it becoming somewhat repetitive.

But now, it's fabulous and gives my eyes a nice spanking

It is repetitive and it does have somewhat of an ending (once you get all achievements), but its something new and different, so for now, it will do

this is the first game I have played that has truly earned it's seizure warning.

Fun game, but at times it gets nearly impossible to see the incoming attacks or ships.
