I seriously don't get whats so great about this game aside from the eyecandy? The game play is nothing different at all.

I'm sorry but I just would not be able to call a game amazing if I have to play it at 20FPS. That is simply not fast enough to even be able to play a first person shooter properly. I didn't expect my PC to be able to run it properly but when guys with 8800GTXs can't even get over 30FPS then whats the point. But hey it happens. There have been games in the past that have done this like Doom 3. Just give it a while then we will all be able to see this game in all its glory. Which is definitely not 20fps. And that seems to be what most people are getting. I'll still be playing TF2 for a while yet. Until CoD4 of course.

Default hopefully

Hopefully this will be optimized a bit better over time. Ive been reading comments all over the web and theres a lot of pissed people out there.

Dont know why they just didnt release it when the next high end cards come out next year to avoid this backlash.

I guess Assasins Creed will be pretty unplayable on current gen cards too if this is anything to go by.

Im downloading it now to see what the fuss is about. Surely after 3 years of development they might have made something that looks really good and plays well on current highspec systems PLUS leaves room for future systems at ultradetail.

Hopefully a mixture of high and medium settings still look good and play well with the 8800series or 2900XT/pro.

What cards did they use to make/trial this game?

Default no

no im not...theyve had plenty of time to work on this so it doesnt make sense to release a demo that puts people off.

wonder what the recommended system requirements will say on the box? maybe

Unplayable in 2007 in DX10
2*8800GTX/ultras/2900XT for XP at 1680*1050

As it is right now a e6300 with 2gb of memory and a overclocked 8800 gtx can barely push 30fps.

LOL You guys need to stop whining all over the place. Releasing the game in another year just because current Gen cards can't play the game ALL MAXED out? Yeah, whatever man! Each and all games have a little something different. For some it'll be the new gameplay it offers. For others, it'll be the new Graphics it offers etc... If you think the game has nothing different than Far Cry or any other game you are comparing it to, then just don't freaking play it and leave the joy to someone who will enjoy it for Christ sakes!

Personally, you know what i think. The game looks amazing, all the little features such as the "Nano suit" makes the game a little bit more original than some other regular FPS. Just like Bioshock is. It's basically like any other "Horror FPS" but the fact that you can play with genetic, pirating etc... thats enough for me to think the game is different and has it's original ways.

Yes, it's a little deceiving when you know that even if you build the badest and latest rig, it won't even be able to play this game all maxed out with all eyes candy, a nice high res and enough AA... But think of this, when the new 45nm Quad core CPUs are released as well as the 9800GTX (Or AMD Equivalent) and when Drivers and patch comes out, not only will you guys be able to enjoy this game all maxed out but it'll look better than ever!. Guys, this game is the most anticipated PC FPS and it has been since what? a few years maybe? Don't expect to be able to play the game with a 7900GT or whatever... If you are able to, it'll be on pretty low res and graphics... Of course.

The same exact thing happened when they released Far Cry. Ppls couldn't play the game all maxed out. Until the 7 series i think. And even there, it wasn't that easy. But hey, have you ever played Far Cry? It's still one of the best game i have played in my life... Gameplay is awesome, story is excellent and graphics are still pretty good especially with HDR. Crysis is pretty much going to do the same. So stop the whining! :rtfm:

Just my 2 cent.
