Time permitting, this will be in upcoming GPU reviews along with some other new games / benches:
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 DX11
Nice.. yeah well since both GPU company will be DX11 compatible it's a great idea. And more and more games will be available in DX11 in the future.
I wonder if Crysis 2 will be DX11 when it's released (i think it's autumn 2010 theorically)..
One thing tought. Advance DOF really have a good hit on performance. So maybe doing test with it ON and OFF would give an idea.
As for AAA being in DX11 only, i don't know, but in the DX11 Option menu there's only Tesselation and Advance DOF. Maybe if i select DX9 or 10 in the menu it would be blacked out and back to MSAA? I'll try it tonight..
I bought it on Steam for 49.99$,witch is like 51$CAD right now. I upgraded my connection to 30mbits so it downloaded in like 35-40min max.. :)
OK, no open world like STALKER but still amazing graphics and a thrilling atmosphere in those tunnels.
AI dumb sometimes, waves of monsters sometimes, sh***y weapons (unbalanced at least, that damn pistol is uber weapon here) but it's bearable.
Overall I'm enjoying it.
If it ain't broke... fix it until it is.
I don't agree. I quite enjoy playing it but it was hyped too much. Plus, it's a tough game graphically so it will be in there one way or another. We are moving away from benching DX9 games unless they are extremely popular which means the removal of Batman: AA, Borderlands and DiRT 2 DX9. The list looks like this so far:
BF: BC2 DX11
DiRT 2 DX11
Dragon Age: Origins DX9
Far Cry 2 DX9
Far Cry 2 DX10
Metro 2033 DX11 (possibility)
Left 4 Dead 2 DX9
Unnamed DX11 benchmark tool (to be released next week)
I would say ditch L4D2 as well. It may be popular, but it's hardly tough on modern graphics cards.
