My System Specs

Default Unable to ping computer on the network

Hello, I have 2 computers which are connected through the same router. One is able to ping the other, but it doesn't work the other way. Both computers are running Win 7 Home Premium.

I have a feeling this problem is the cause of another problem, but I have been unsuccesful in correcting it. Can anyone guide me to correcting the problem ?

Windows Firewall? That denies pings I believe. Or if you have some 3rd party firewall as well.

I am running Avast for Antivirus and Windows firewall. Its the same on both computers as far as I'm concerned, but one computer can ping the other.
