Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Rant (Venting)

Hello all, I would like to start this of by saying I love playing this game, it has a great single player campaign little short, but what can you do? The multi-Player is also really fun and a great way to pass the time...

WARNING: This is a RANT all I am doing is Venting my Anger because this has happened allot recently so do not read this if your looking for a review or something like that.

But... I am getting really annoyed at the "No Dedicated Servers" thing, My NAT is STRICT and I have UPnP turned on and I can not be bothered to OPEN all of the ports needed to play MW2 Multi-Player with a OPEN NAT connection again (I set it up before but I took my PC to a friends house and when I came back it went back to STRICT I think because my IP Address changed) So that is my NAT situation.

Now because of this STRICT NAT connection I get allot of "Could Not be connected to Host" Messages when trying to join Multi-Player games, Now this is annoying by itself but the Most Annoying thing about this To Me is that I don't get to choose who I am connecting to anyway so Why does it stop the entire operation of searching for a game to tell me I could not connect to one?

Seriously why would you design it like that it makes no Sense to me, Sure make it so it does that when your attempting to join a invite from a friend it makes sense to tell me when I can not connect to him, But if I don't have a choice in the first place then rather than stopping Everything I would much prefer it to just continue searching for a game hosted by someone else.

I know this is partly because I am to lazy to fix my NAT connection but this also happened quite allot when I had a OPEN connection, Obviously not quite as much but it did still happen.

That is all I really hate about this game, I also get annoyed by all the normal stuff like the "Noob Tubers" but I will normally just leave a game if their are allot of them, I find it almost impossible to play if there is more than one guy running around with a grenade launcher and Danger Close Perk on, Same thing with Commando it can become extremely annoying lol.

Doubt many people will read this but I am mainly venting and really wanted to have my opinion somewhere people can read it and maybe make a bigger deal out of it and complain lol maybe IW will listen and change a thing or two.

Yep...other than the fact that the game was "how quickly&long can you hold the fire button" or "how long can you stay in one place"

I've moved on, it was fun to pass the time, but it got old quick and fast.

Bad Company 2 is a game I look forward to burn my time with in March

Yeah, I am looking forward to BC2 as well, The Demo of it was kind of fun but also annoying at times (Nothing serious just some weird controls and menu navigating) But the finished game should be great I have already pre-ordered it from STEAM, Hoping the ASUS Rampage III Extreme will be out soon and the GTX 400 Series within march (I have no idea when they will be released just pure hope) Would be nice to play the game on the new build with max settings. Shame my current computer can't cut it any more... Still good for gaming just not MAXED out.

I'm getting pretty good stuff maxed out, except for when all 32 people are blowing stuff up simultaneously

The game so far is largely CPU limited

Agreed. I played it for about 2 months and I got sick of it. Back to rhythm games for me <_<

Just Play Battlefield Bad Company 2... Really.. or just stay with COD4, COD4 is the same thing basically. LIke the same feel and everything. yea mw2 is better and stuff, but ultimatly, cod4 definatly beats dwn mw2 in MP

The fact that I bought it from FS (Retail Disc Box), then found out upon installation it was Steam really pi__ed me off!!

For multiplayer... I still play Quake Wars for chris sake... much better then many new games out there.

Cant wait for BC2 to be out however.
