Default WoW Crashing

Just got into WoW but it seems to crash randomly. Screen flashes or it just freezes and I can't even exit out of the application I have to shut down comp. Now I just copied the install filesfrom ny friends 32bit machine to my 64 rtm windows 7. Any idea why this is happeneing?

Everything is normal with your machine other than that? WoW will install (or lack of install) just how you describe so it is probably your machine unless the files got corrupt on the way over. WoW has a recovery tool that checks the quality of all the files... used to work, could try running that, it's in the install drawer.

The only other thing I could suggest is turn off all the addons that he may have installed on his WoW as you may not have them or they may not be installed correctly since they might not be in the install drawer.

Hmm well I think it may be my gx2 fans going pretty loud and the screen now kinda flashes the picture when it freezes. I removed tried the repair as well. Could it be nvidia drivers?

Well the first problem is that it is WoW....
The second possible problem is if you have any game addons they may not agree with your computer or may not play nice with your version of WoW, run it addon less.

Agreed.

In fact, here's a simple troubleshooting guide for all players of WoW:
1. Uninstall WoW.
2. Burn/Destroy/Shred all WoW related media and information.
3. Get a real ing game.
