I would be very happy if the following games were updated:

Mech-Commander
X-Com
Wing Commander
Panzer General
Master of Orion
Harpoon

Am looking forward to Mech-Warrior though.

I've been waiting for a Mech Warrior game since I played MW3 way back in the day. My friend had it on his computer but I never owned it so I didn't get to play it much. When I got Chromehounds for the 360 I was hoping it would be similar but not even close, I think I played it once then gave up.

wolf failed because they tried to make it into Call of Wolfenstien.
iron sights, no sprinting and shooting. all from cod.
i would like to see remakes of cs 1.6 cod1 and rtcw and even et.
not these (oh it has the same name) remake, but a true remake. for only playing video games for the last 6 years i can already say, i am sick and tried on how easy games have gotten. 1.6 to css is a joke on how much easier it is and lets not even go into detail about cod1 to cod4.
sadly i find mw2 easier then cod4 and they use the exact same engine.

Descent Series (i know it's been mentioned)
Both Freespace Series (although there is an extensive mod the seriously upgrades the graphics in FS2)
Deus Ex (enough Said)
Tachyon: The Fringe
Freelancer (it kinda ends on a pseudo cliffhanger)
Rise of the Triad (yaa baby )
All Wingcommanders

Descent series incl. Freespace
Freelancer
Starflight
Bladerunner
Mechwarrior series
Independence War series
Bay the $5-$10 bucks for it at gog.com. Download and install. The exe's have been re worked to support xp/vista, etc. as they have all the descents, and both freespaces (including the fs1 expansion) and a bunch of others. Also their support is pretty good.

I'd love to see older games like the original civ & elite upgraded for gfx, but wouldn't want the gameplay changed at all.... Sorry, but I lose interest in a game if I have to keep a poster up on the wall to refer to in the case of over-complex control schemes. (Hated the later civs, and especially disliked alpha-centuri for either forcing ridiculous micro-managing, or having excessively stupid AI if you decided to let it manage functions yourself.... c'mon folks... if you were clearing a forest to build crap, move over a few spaces to the next forest, or start doing something with the stuff you've cut down.... don't just stand around with a stupid look on your face.... ;) ).

Was Chromehounds the next version of MW? I heard (never tried it) that the next version was more of jut a plain shot-em-up game. No strategy on equipment you used.

It was quite funny when I was first able to add large lasers. I loaded the thing up with 12 large lasers. Thinking I was invincible I headed out. I locked on the first target and used the "fire all" button in hopes of watching them blow apart. I soon discovered myself blown up. Apparently too much heat generated with the lasers and not enough heat sinks...lol. So it was more than just a slap it together type game.

MW3 was the first game I used with a force feedback joystick. Definitely added a harder dimension to the game!

Mech Commander was pretty cool too!

MW3 was only a few years back

I still remember playing MW1. It was utter garbage though compared to any other title in the franchise though. Thankfully they got rid of Dynamix as the developer.
