PC Modern Warfare 2: it's much worse than you thought - Ars Technica

Pretty much everything you would expect a PC game to have, it doesn't. IW itself said the only difference between PC and Console is a mouse and graphics settings. I seriously hope no one is planning to buy this junk.

Pffft

Sadly I don't think any of these decisions have affected sales enough (or at all) to make anyone at Activision give 2 cents that PC gamers feel ignored. The game has more pre-orders listed than anything else... ever (on consoles of course).

Don't like it, don't buy it... on ANY platform. Go buy Borderlands instead on PC.

There are other places that I will most happily put my gaming money. The answers that I have just read, especially about the innability to kick cheaters, the hosting issue and potential ISP throttling problems (especially since the CRTC recently said ISPs should be able to throttle when need be), etc.

The items in that article are the last proverbial nails in my Modern Warfare 2 for PC coffin.

Period.

So pirate it for the single player is basically what the moral of the story is...

Now waiting for BFBC2... DICE seems like they're not gonna disappoint the PC community. Hoping for a good game.

This was one article I didn't skim though since I am still sitting on the fence about whether to put MW2 in the GPU reviews. Unfortunately, that kind of inclusion means free advertising for a game that basically rubs its nutsack in PC gamers' faces.

I'm sure nobody would shed a tear to see that game excluded from the bench charts. Hell, I'd respect the reviews more if it weren't there in all honesty.
