go watch some of the interviews. There is one on ign.com. Well there are going to be a lot of new features. Like burning vegitation! That might be good and bad. It is now in Africa. There is a first aid type thing that is better then Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater. 50 square km of area. Etc.

Its not that I haven't played it, its more that I've just never had a system to enjoy playing it well.

I figured I'd finally upgrade enough so that if I wanted to play games mostly due to Bioshock as I'm a huge fan of System Shock 2...

I upgraded from a p4 3ghz (478) to a c2d e6600 :P

System Shock 2 is what Bioshock originated from. It was harder and probably one of the best FPS/RPG games of its time and still TO this day. Unfortunately it doesn't run very well on multiple cpus :( But you can get it to work.

If you like Bioshock seriously get it and try it.
