I think Steam still has the Borderlands 4-pack available for preorder. It costs $135 USD, so it works out to about $35 CAD per license.

steers: it does, i got that. Teamed up with 3 other HWC mbrs and split the cost. Great idea if you can round up some friends.

Ya it is a good deal, but call me old fashioned. When I buy a release day game I want a box dammit! I only buy a couple/year.

So far from the reviews it kind of sounds like it's comparable to FC2, at least to me (and I liked FC2 :P). Lots of guns, big environments, simple quests, vehicles... but Borderlands adds some nice tech tree and customization missing in FC2. I like the idea of having to build and balance your character's strengths & weaknesses. Anyone check out the tech trees on the website yet? There's also a few threads about different builds.

I was just thinking, you know what would push me over the edge to buy this on Steam (aside from the great pre-order group pricing)... If this game was in the cloud. Looks like all your data is stored locally whether you are on Steam or not. So item duping etc.. is going to run rampant *sigh* and continuing on with your game on a different machine (through Steam or other) is a no go. Unless you physically move the necessary files to that other machine.

Fatal flaw with this game imo. Not that this will deter me from salivating till I get a copy on the 26th and jumping into cartoony mahem!
