perhaps, but I think most do it as they know someone who is or has been affected by disease and like the idea of contributing to research.

I'm in that boat. Dad and wife. My dad is in remission and my wife had her thyroid removed.

My best wishes to them both. My Dad died in 03 from cancer and my wife just finished her 6th chemo cycle last week. So any little bit that may have even a remote possibility of helping someone is all good in my books.

Yeah, remember we lost PScott and ST is recovering from something as well. Giving up unused cpu cycles is the least i can do to make sure no one eventually has to deal with these diseases or cancers

Geez I'm really sorry to hear this Monstersquad......must be very difficult for both you and your wife....I most certainly feel for you! Stay positive my friend....
Recently my wife has now gone for 3 Ultra sounds on a "lump" in her neck...she is very worried, as am I..Dr said to continue to monitor it closely prior to a Biopsy....

I agree with your folks' cause....Folding for a purpose...at this point in time my "Monster rig" would consume a ton of Hydro under 24 / 7 stress...we'll see, perhaps I'll jump on the boat in the New Year.....

Well I agree that folding is a good thing but people that have rigs on 24/7 or build rigs JUST for folding do more harm than good.
