The new content is pretty darn good, I'm just about done Roche's path, after seeing Iorveth's with the new Edition. I'm sure there's things I've missed, but it even looks like there's room for more DLC to come.
This video explains it a bit, but there's some spoiler risk if you're really picky.

Yup, I was thinking of trying the gog.com version while I wait for Borderlands2...I kinda miss Witching and whoring around, those ploughing whoreson's.

how does TW2 compare to Skyrim, which I play ALLLLL the time

and I have a 6950CF so I assume I could max it all out at 1080p and keep ~60fps, could I???

is it a sandbox/open world game????

It's only partially a sandbox/open world game. You can do certain amount of exploration, but you can only do certain quests depending on where you are on the main quest line. Basically you have to do the main quest line to progress in the game.

Also, personally I think story line, combat and graphics of TW2 are better then Skyrim.

Graphics are definitely better on Witcher 2 over Skyrim, although with the right mods you can get Skyrim looking pretty close to Witcher 2 in quality.

Story wise, the Witcher series so far trumps Skyrim, but really they both have their merits and I really think they are both great games.

In Skyrim, what do you find keeps you playing, is it just side questing or new characters?
I've put just over 100hrs into my first and only character so far, completed about 40 achievements so I've done and seen quite a bit, but I read somewhere there's around 250 side quests alone, but to find them is my problem now, I either get attacked when I find a new location or they ignore me. Do I need to start a new game and choose the other guy to follow out of the starting town under the dragon attack?

Skyrim is designed to never be completed fully, they have a random generator for side quests meaning the game cannot ever end, slight cope out to me.
