I'm interested but I'm going to wait to see how the reception is. A good customizable superhero game with balanced powers and items is hard to pull off.

Yeah, I asked people what they thought of CoH\CoV to gauge how this might go but apparently they got ousted by another studio just a couple years after the release so people had a hard time saying whether the things they liked or not was their work or the newer studio's. I sure hope they can make this a great game, I would be so stoked.

well the beta isnt off to a good start.....you preload the beta, then load up the patcher, and it wants to download 3gb of patches at like .0000001bits per second :P
then it times out on you after 20meg....sigh

Yeah, I managed to get a free beta key from a magazine so I tried it out, even left my computer on last night downloading their prepatcher from fileplanet at about 100kb/s.... and now any traffic with Cryptic's servers stops completely after 0.6%. And the only response we get from the Studio is "We fixed it. No, really. Restart your updater."

EDIT: Hanging out in irc.coldfront.net #championsonline and the support is coming staright from employees so it's better than sitting in the forums. Got my patcher chugging along (slowly but surely) now.

Sweet deal, imo. I don't know about CO but Star Trek Online is one I'm definitely interested in....
