Thanks, i was looking at buying it but wasn't sure because of mixed reviews from people. Atleast at half off i can sorta afford to ditch it if i dont get too into the gameplay

I've never even looked at D2D before but I may to get this. Few friends say it's a laugh and they play co-op together. Might get it and join in.

D2D is a pain in the butt. I would wait to see what the Steam weekend sale is...

i have no issues with d2d, its a little different than steam, but dow2 uses steam for its copy protection....so really....its just a steam game purchased from direct2drive really....

Sorry bump a old topic, but i was wondering if any1 purchased this through steam or any game for the matter. It was my first time using steam store and purchased Dawn of war 2 successfully, but when i got it i noticed there was this code:xxxxxxxxx and i did not write it down. It was not the cd key, but it came up after the purchase is it important?

It will pop up every time you start the game, unless you tell it not to. You may need it for multiplayer. EDIT: I just noticed you said it wasn't the CD key. Not important, but if you need it right-click on a game name in steam, should be able to find it in properties.

Also, all Dawn of War games and Company of Heroes games are 50% off on Steam this weekend.
