I am not 100% sure about this one. I LOVE combat flight sims but WWI planes are decidedly...boring to me. Slow, poor aiming with the weapons and limited range...not something that makes for balls-out dogfights.

Combat flight sims got me into pc building. I look forward to the release. A little "low-tech" for most gamers, but it should be challenging. I had the Just Flight 'Combat Aces' WW1 expansion for CFS2, and I enjoyed it immensely.

If you liked CFS2 Keepsix you'd definately like IL2 1946........10x better than CFS anyday. Most join using hyperlobby and fly on 50-80 person servers.....it gets really hairy sometimes but it it truly the best WWII flight sim going to this date.

IL2 1946 makes me want a better joystick and some rudder pedals.
Also, damn taking off from a carrier in a Corsair! :shakefist: I can land on the blasted contraption but not take off. :S

This looks good!

I used to play "Knights of the Sky" on the old Amiga and really enjoyed it. Also "F117 Stealth Fighter" was a great game....Sadly all gone ....now that Microsoft has taken over with CFS (which I think is vastly over-rated)

I am unable to buy Rise of Flight here in the UK as of yet....Is it compatible with Vista?..And does anyone know of any other flight Sims that are Vista compatible also please?
