Default Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and FO3 save profiles

Hey all,

Due to some issues with my windows install, I'm probably going to have to wipe my drive and start over. However, there are some games that I don't want to lose all the save data, mainly my RSV2 and Fallout 3 characters. Can I remedy this by copying the game files onto a external hard drive and recopying into my new windows install?

Thanks!

Wolf

Yeah you can copy them on to a hardrive though personally I would copy the entire game onto one though just in case.

So basically go into the drive, select (for example) Bethesda softworks, copy it, and then put it in the same place as before? How does that work when I reinstall the game?

Game save files are usually in a hidden folder somewhere. I don't remember where in XP, but in Vista they are usually under \users\"insertnamehere"\appdata, or under \programdata. Check your my documents folder too.

If for some reason they are in the actual program folder, just re-install your games and copy the contents over after. It should pick up your save files then. Works for me for OS re-installs.

I just make sure I copy my entire Users folder.. But if I recall the VEGAS2 saves are in /Users/Your\ Name\ Here/Documents/My\ Games/UBISOFT/
In Vista anyway.. I never had R6V2 installed in XP.

I dunno about any of the Fallout games.
