so basically L4D2 really adds mele weapons and maybe few new types of amo? Couldnt they have patched this? I tihnk Valve may alienate a few people by releasing this so fast and still not having a release date for Ep3. And honestly would have prefered Portal 2.

This is basically MS throwing money around. They wanted the game for the XBox 360 and Valve is doing it which is why you won't see L4D patched with the new weapons.

Honestly, such a realease does not make me want to buy it. I fear that 5 months later they will release L4D 3. However, it doesn't mean they will onyl add melee weapons and ammos. The game will be out in many months and who knows, they may change stuff well enough to make it a good game, but i doubt it.

I agree. L4D still has far too sparse content for a $50 game. I was expecting more updates, more maps. This is a pure $$$ grab.

I got mine for $24 on steam, which is a fair price for the game. I won't likely be buying the second one unless I can see a lot of new infected, more maps than 4 and other tweaks. This is no different than a new COD every year, a new NFS game ever November and some other titles that are rushed out the door annually.

When games get rushed they are cheapened in my opinion, I prefer the classic way when sequels were released per hardware generation, so they feel like something big and worthy.

This should not be a sequel. Valve should charge no more then $20 for this game.
