I stand corrected belgolas. Understood bojangles.

Back on topic though. Although I haven't had a chance to play R2 yet, I do own Resistance for my PS2. I really enjoyed the concept of Resistance Fall of Man, solid story line good character development, well made all around graphics were also cutting edge for it's time. I'm a little disappointed to hear the story wasn't as well fleshed out this time around as I was looking forward to picking up R2 and it's PSP counterpart. One of the selling points for me with regards to R2 was the inclusion of a PSP version that further contributed to the story line. Perhaps the missing parts of the PS3 version are filled in on the PSP?

Yes, Pelt, there is an overlap between the two stories, told in the PSP version. You can also connect your PSP version to your PS3 version of Resistance 2, to "unlock additional content"...

I bought R2 and GeOWar 2 on the same day. Played GeOW2 and loved it. Meanwhile I kept on hearing not so good things about R2 that I returned it since I hadn't opened it. Seems like it was a good choice!

Supposedly Little Big Planet is great fun. My GF wants it so she wasn't too happy to see me playing another Resistance game.

My reasoning: "...but the second one was missing a story so I had to get this one to explain things to me!"

The look she gave me told me everything.

I don't mind paying $50 - $60 for a game, but then again, I only buy games I figure I'll get at least 40 hours worth of game play out of (if not months.... :) ).

Well I loved the first Resistance and have been looking at the second for a while now, but I just have no time so I decided to skip it for now. With Insomniac this isn't the first time they went downhill with a series. Back on the PS2 Ratchet and Clank was one of the best platformers out there, the second was even better, but after that the sequels were starting to get rushed and it showed. They were still good games, but just not up to the standard the first 2 had set.

I woud place part of the blame on Sony for probably pushing the devs to get these games out on a quicker timeline than they should be just so that they can have more big games out for the system.
