Default Cryostasis Tech Demo

Well I have now found a game that is more demanding then Crysis! Try this tech demo out and you will be amazed at how crappy our systems are EVGA | Articles | Cryostasis Demo.

The demo isn't too bad but the physics and graphics are top notch.

Yeah runs this demo max settings with advance physx and DX10 shader model 4.0. This tech demo has more physx features then the full game. The full game is getting a patch to add more physx stuff.

Too bad it requires PhysX acceleration

Or if it doesn't, then it hates Windows 7 RC.

can't really test the dx10 stuff since vista/win 7 blows chunks.

I think this game looks interesting, not blow me away good, but good enough that I'll wait for it to drop in price a little and pick it up. Haven't tried the tech demo. So many demos I want to try and haven't had the time. Home renos eat so much of it!

It is interesting, but it is survival horror which is not my style of game. Also a lot of people complain that the gameplay is too slow. I may pick it up if it comes to like 10 bucks.

But if you want to stress test your graphics cards then run the tech demo above and turn everything to max settings and highest resolution possible. I tried running it at 2560 x 1600 and it is really laggy at times. I mean slide show laggy. But the physics are just so dang awesome. I want more physx loving in the future.

Cool I think survival horror is alright. I'll probably like it. I'll try out the demo sometime... maybe? lol. I can tell winter is over, not much time for gaming anymore. :(

If you don't have NVIDIA 8-series and up or a dedicated PhysX card, it won't run.

Nice way to market a game, only works on NVIDIA GPUs or if by some chance you bought a PhysX card back in the days.
