Default Old titles worth revisiting...

Thanks to GOG, I've been on a retro gaming kick lately. After playing through Fallout 1 and 2, I moved on to a the Splinter Cell series. Finished the first, Pandora Tomorrow, and have just about completed Chaos Theory. As a proud Canadian gamer, I enjoy playing titles with Canadian voice talent. I think Michael Ironside absolutely nailed the character of Sam Fisher.

Next up, I think I'll revisit Star Trek Elite Force. The great thing about playing these old titles with a modern system is you can max everything out without worrying about framerates.

I'm wondering what titles other forum members would deem worthy.

If I could find the damn things (particularly in a less-buggy form), I would probably go through all of the Quest for Glory series again, as well as the first Gabriel Knight...which I think was subtitled Sins of the Father. I also pull out a game called Full Throttle once in a while, which is all about a big biker named Ben, and packs a GREAT sense of humour.

You're too right about the Fallouts; they're bloody classic!

A lot of the older Sid Maier games are still a hell of a lot of fun. Just played Railoads a few months ago, surprisingly fun.

Pirates, or the original Civ is good for a wasted night or two.

I remember playing the demo of Full Throttle. Great graphics at the time.

Lmao Carmageddon! I loved that game!

I still like Age of Empires 2 and Red Alert 2.

Wow...you guys are going waaaaay back with some of those titles.

I tried playing the first game I ever bought...Jedi Knight. Got a short way into it and it crashed. Couldn't reload after that unfortunately.

I'd love to play through the Baldur's Gate series again. Anyone know if there's a workable mod allowing for upgraded resolutions on those games. If I remember correctly, they topped out at 800 X 600....maybe 1024, but I can't remember.
