I'm getting about 600-650KB/s, and I have a 10Mbit connection. I typically get about 1-1.1MB/s off Steam servers.

Anyone else read about the Widescreen FAIL 2.0? Man you would think after all the hoopla with the first game they could have spent a day implementing proper widescreen support. 2K is either run by brain dead zombies or hires them to code games.

PS. Still at work, no idea how the DL is going at home. 210KB/s lol... that's nasty!

Here's an update for the amazon side of things.... awesomeness as expected, my collector edition has been shipped this evening instead of friday! I should get it monday, and maybe even friday if i'm lucky!

For Widescreen issues, official comment from a 2k employee in their forums (as posted above)

I've got to commend Valve for not messing up the release of this game. I had no issues downloading it at all. Averaged 2Mb/s and was playing a bunch last night. I imagine it helped that I started downloading it the minute it was released, but still. I was expecting horrors, and all went smoothly. No issues at all with the widescreen either.

I gave it a shot for a few minutes last night. First thing I noticed was that the game looks exactly like the first one, which is pretty disappointing since it's pretty dated by today's standards. However, the gameplay seemed pretty good, and the ability to use a plasmid along with your primary weapon is a nice addition.
