I bought Armchair General last December and never got to it until recently. Browsing the pages I found the games page. It got a good review from the magazine so I tried it out yesterday. It is free (650Mb download) and will need registration to play ala steam.

The game is like Battlefield but a little rough on the edges. It obviously needs more players and more game play organization as opponents can just run into spawn points. The maps are very small so expect to be killed shortly after spawning (unless you are awesome with these kind of games).

For a free game, this is great. I actually like it. Not as much as L4D and Day of Defeat. Try it and see if you will like it.

i been playin it off and on since it came out,its pretty good..the only real problem with it is the maps suck. they need more and bigger maps. Another free one that i really enjoy is insurgency modern infantry combat. u can get it on steam.

ya i liked this game i played it for awhile, about as good as it gets for a free fps
