The upgrade looks great! I'd like to install the alyx model pack, but I have no clue where to start. Even though I've been googling everywhere...

Any ideas where to start?

Am I the only one that thinks this cinematic mod's models are butt ugly? They may be high res or high poly but asthetically I would never use them. The originals are far superior IMO.

Agreed they don't look so hot in Version 9. I played it with Ver 4 years ago. The models were more like the original but upgraded, especially Alex. And there was an Alex skin app too. Anything like that in Ver 9?

There have been new releases since V9. I currently have V9.5 update installed, (requires V9 to be previously installed) with the V9 hi-res addon downloading as we speak. I'll be installing it as soon as I get the 9.51 hotfix downloaded and installed. These are massive files, so consider this before attempting to download.

To answer your question Thund3rball, there is a character pimper in V9 but you have to have the hi-res addon installed to get functionality afaik.

Well, I finished the game today and all I can say is WOW!
Ten years didn't age this classic one bit.. If FarCry2 had one tenth of the actual gameplay this thing had it would have been ten times better than it was.. I kept thinking I was almost done and then another chapter would begin and I'd think " Oh Ya!"
My vote for best video game ever...

I was wondering if this mod will work with windows 7. Has anyone here tried installing it on the beta or RC version of 7?
