Empire: Total War

How many people have been waiting for this game for years?

Actual naval combat, armies are effected by environment more (dont invade russia in the winter), better ai (diplomatic and military are now one), and is the first Total War game in the gunpowder age. I'm also interested in seeing how events like the French Revolution and the American Revolution are trigered and handled

That's funny, I watched all the trailers today. It looks awesome and I will be buying when it comes out.

Looks great but I am still waiting for them to release Fantasy: Total War or Lord of the Rings: Total War.

^I'm sure TW's immense modding community will have those versions of TW made in no time. In fact, I know there is at least one large LOTR mod for RTW as well as many fantasy mods if you're willing to play RTW again. And given that EA has all the rights to the LOTR video game franchise, don't count on an official TW game of that theme anytime soon.

I played Rome total war way back around 02 I think and was great fun. I've been watching this game grow for a while now already pre-purchased on steam

It should work right, as some of the strongest militaries have invaded at exactly that time


who exactly makes up your army Hanibal Lector? Russians are rather though after all, you need a committed cannibal before you can consider eating them.

I dont see a LOTR Total war really working, there were at most 5 battles in the trilogy, more if you include the other books but there really has never been enough premise for a LOTR RTS, theres a reason why the ones that have happened in the past have not worked out.

But I will predict now the next total war will branch off from history and either go Sci fi or fantasy, and I predict that I will buy that one too.
