100% agree lcdguy.

I was resisting the urge to grab GTA4 because I have a real issue with Rockstar treating PC gamers like the ugly child and making us wait so long after console release for it to come to PC. The fact is I'm fresh out of good titles to play and honestly I love the whole GTA series and have every one since the first. It hits the streets today and the multiplayer I hear is a load of fun..hrmm I sense my wallet becomming $50 lighter perhaps. :punk:

The system requirements are pretty steep.
For controller:
Personally, I didn't like console at first also because I had to get used to it.
The only dissatisfaction with console for shooter is that you can't move the aim fast with precision like the mouse. But what the heck. I will stick with console for GTA 4 because it has auto aim unlike other shooter. I haven't played it yet but I hope it has auto aim. Plus it takes a quite a feat to pull of stunts with the keyboard.

I am f*%^ing pissed.

Rockstar thought it would be a good idea to limit my hardware settings? HOW ABOUT YOU MAKE IT WORK?
GTA 4 has this stupid cap on graphical settings depending on your video memory. My crossfired 4870X2'2 come to a total of 4 gigs of video memory. GTA sees 1 and is limiting me to low to mid settings when at 1900X1200. The only known fix also seems to not work with the 4870 series. I can handle the DRM (I guess) but if I would have known about this "feature" I would have saved my $50 bucks. What right do they have to limit my system? This just doesn't make any sense to me.

So even with a gig of ram it dropped your settings?

Ouch

That sucks.. But if enough people complain, Rockstar'll most likely release a patch to get rid of it.

I'm gonna give it a shot tomorrow on the ..ahem system below..
