My thoughts exactly muse108dc. yawn..same sh*t, different pile. I'm not impressed with the whole co-op twist and frankly they've beat the hell out of the whole time travel plot. The games getting decent reviews but I suspect the reviewers have been living in a rts deprived alternate universe for the last 16 years. Show me a reviewer thats been playing RTS's since Dune II and the original C&C that gave this more than a 7/10 and I'll show you a shill reviewer (or just pants on head retarded).

IMO, RA2 was WAYYY better. Now, if this carried on the story of RA2, (well it kinda did) and there were more units, then yes, it would be a better game.

But for now, RA2 is still the king.

On multiplayer:

PvP online blows, you finish a round, then get booted back to some random lobby. You have to set everything back up again, and then go and invite everyone back in.
We tried using Hamchi like we did with C&C, but for some reason the Hamachi connections have been crap the last 2 weeks. Maybe weaklink started throttling p2p as well.
Co-op is a BLAST.

Just picked 2 copies up for $30 each. Can't wait to get into some co-op with my buddy. I have never played a C&C game. Only RTS's I ever really played till very recently are Starcraft and COH. And I didn't finish either. Recently I finished LOTR BFME 2 and am about 1/3 through Dawn of War right now.

All I can say about this game from playing the demo is WAHOO! I love the storyline and zany weapons. The campy popcorn cutscenes and drool worthy hotties all work perfectly. I can't wait to cause some parallel universe mayhem. Frickin mechs and giant robots FTW!

Edit: Oh and the music is totally sweet too.
