Anyone see this game. Its being made by EA out in nov,looks like it could be pretty cool,something a lil diff GameSpot Video: Mirror's Edge E3 08 Gameplay Demo

I think it is a neat Idea, but done TOTALLY wrong. If you are going to make a free running Parkour game, you NEED to at least make it 3rd Person. Seriously, the whole point of Parkour is watching the way people get places, and its really fun to watch. Now, all they have done is make a camera float around and go from place to place. Not impressed with their excecution of their idea.

I am quite looking forward to this game as I have had my eye on it for a while. I really liked the hand to hand stuff in FEAR and this is kind of an extension of that I think. Guns are not your primary weapon. I think it's a cool idea to make it a FPS. A Parkour 3rd person is not so revolutionary, already been kind of done with Prince of Persia, Tomb Raider etc.. Mirror's Edge in 3rd person would do little for my interest actually. Also I believe the game has been delayed to Q1 2009 IIRC. So no November release unless that's changed since I last looked it up.

This game really could go either way. I have a few misgivings, but I'll still be getting it when it comes out, unless EA really tries to teabag us with some "new" DRM method.

EA is only the publisher of this game... as far as i know they had nothing to do with development... DICE is the company producing this.

Wouldn't stop them from trying to push it, imo. Still, no sense in getting pessimistic this early.
