Probably if the flow from both is going in the same direction it would work, but what res allows for that?

None that I know of; it's rather simple though to drill and create threads for barbs.

Thinking about this, the EK multioption res has dual outlets - all that is missing is a Y at the inlet to accept both loops' liquid.

Linus@NCIX just put an order in for some EK res's and 4870 FC blocks, (those blocks are for you 3.0 ;) ) He said they should be about a month or so....

Sheeesh people, can you link us to a pic of the 4870 FC blocks, I'd love to see how they look. And Charlie I'll be anxiously counting approx 40 days when you will receive the parts and you will complete the loop :P
