Default DELL ALIENWARE AW3418DW

Finally retiring my Dell U2711 1440p !!

I have been watching n watching n watching....nearly went with ASUS PG34 UWQHD...until I saw this DELL....seems to have all the whistles n bells....IPS....GSync.....100 Hz Native OC to 120 HZ...curved and of course Dells awesome Warranty and Customer Support........
I was looking at this monitor a few weeks ago but $1899 was a tad too steep.....considering the X34 was $1399 I pulled this pin on this Dell for $1499 (Dell Canada) free shipping....

Sweet monitor!

Do the Alienwares have the same warranty as the Ultrasharps?

I had been looking at that ASUS for several weeks waiting for it to come down from $1699.....but would certainly prefer the Dell
Both the Predator X34 and Asus PG34 are Native 60Hz Overclock 100 Hz....this Dell is Native 100Hz Overclock 120 Hz..........Im sure well see some incredible "new" Dispalys released in the next few weeks!!! as in 34" UWQHD at 200 Hz....will be curious to see, but Im assuming they will come in at around $1899!!

Yes,,,3 yr advance replacement warranty....only from Dell....!!!! $450 off regular price....I knew I waited fro Black Friday for something

I don't think any of us would end up regretting a G-Sync enabled ultrawide. I'm sure you'll get 100 Hz on the ASUS and you'll have saved $100. Dell stuff and warranty is great, but you won't be disappointed in the ASUS imo.

I was almost sold on the Asus....in fact had the Dell not been on for $1499 I would have gone that route...the Predator was 3rd on the list
Dell's monitors are exceptional....bar none......the 3yr advance warranty (including dead pixels) is tops in the market...email them..they ship new monitor while your still packaging up your original.....and $450 discount....amazing!!

Apparently the monitor in question isn't available to Canadians. A bunch of people on reddit have had their orders cancelled because "the monitor can't be shipped to Canada"

Shame because I really wanted to pull the trigger and finally upgrade from my 60hz 2560x1440 monitor. I think I might just wait for CES now.

Were those ordered directly through the Dell retail website or does the fact they're talking about ebaits mean it was ordered through the ebay storefront?

We've got a couple of members who apparently already have confirmed purchases. (I hope they aren't on the receiving end of one of these emails.... ).

Indeed. Most, if not all orders (from what I'm gathering) were placed directly through Dell's work site because for some reason the 10%OFFMONITOR coupon didn't apply to Dell's home section.

That's what I'm wondering though... I don't believe rjbarker attempted to order using the 10% off code for that low(er) price of $1290(ish). I believe he paid the listed sale price of $1499 so maybe it was something to do with the lower price.

He's apparently stuffing his face in Montreal for a few days.... maybe we won't know for sure until later in the week.....
