My System Specs

Default is this a good deal for LED TV?

I have been looking for a LED TV that has the same height as my old 27" tv I am in no real hurrey but if this is a good deal I will probably grab one

manual says it's 120Hz refresh .pdf only no wifi onboard

$400 for 50" seems fair

bonus will save of hydro

No offense but for the same price as that you could go to Futureshop or Best Buy and get something similiar with an actual name brand to it.

You call Insignia an 'actual name brand'? - I don't see any advantage over and the Changhong, particularly if the Changhong is actually 120hz

First its not 120hz.

Second he's coming from a CRT so I highly doubt he'll care about 120hz even if it did

Third Insignia is a house brand for Futureshop so yes I think its an actual brand. I have owned a Dynex 46" for 3 years now and it only cost me $400 and its been a great tv.

I think I willl head into future shop and check that out . it is actually for my parents I woul;d grab one for myself but the arm I use for my 27" LCD won't handle that lol

If your parents are anything like mine they couldn't tell the difference between DVD and Bluray

lol I agree .
they need a fairly big TV because the way they ae now low height and greater width the picture would be to small o I have to get them a tv that would be around the same height as a 27" crt
