Anyone heard anything on whether or not there will be PWM-free G-sync monitors out there?

For me personally I prefer lightboost. Tearing at 120hz is fine but motionblur makes my head hurt. Gsync doesn't improve blur from what I understand. Also. Boost and gsync are mutually exclusive.

G-Sync requires a PWM-free circuit, from what I understand. Upgrading to a G-Sync module in my Asus QE eliminated the PWM circuit.

Oh my. That makes me very happy. I am one of those poor sods who gets headaches from PWM monitors (man that took a long time to figure out what it was).

An improved version of the Lightboost technique to reduce blur is part of Gsync.

NeoGAF - View Single Post - G-SYNC - New nVidia monitor tech (continuously variable refresh; no tearing/stutter)

Those details have now long been confirmed, but I'm too lazy to find an official link that will use that terminology.

The ULMB mode on my G-Sync Asus QE is miles better than any Lightboost mode I've used on any monitor. Considering it was designed from the ground up and isn't a workaround, that's to be expected. It's also easily toggled on/off by one of the standard bezel buttons.
