Default G-sync monitors

In the market for a new monitor eventually.

I'm interested in G-sync.

1) Will this feature be available on 2560x1440 monitors?

2) Will it be much more expensive than a standard 2560x1440 monitor?

Buy what you need now. The only thing announced for G-Sync is partnerships and the Asus VG248QE upgrade kit. We probably won't see G-Sync on non-gaming, non-120Hz/144Hz monitors for awhile, let alone on 2560 monitors.

Early in 2014 is when proper g-sync monitors are supposed to come out. Go read on What's New | GeForce all the info they have provided about g-sync. They give a reasonable amount.

It will be interesting to see how this turns out. While I can't see it being game changing in to 120hz+ gaming monitors. If this tech goes in IPS monitors and can reduce the input lag a lot more people will switch to IPS and NVIDIA.

I'm waiting for 4k to hit the gaming scene and trade in my triple monitor surround for a single 4k monitor... Just hope it has/can have gsync too!

It'll still get rid of the staircasing effect that happens when your system will put out over 120fps
