Default Should I install the driver for my monitor?

I have purchased a DELL U3014 and SLI Titans. Should I installed the driver for the monitor or just plug and play?

Why? I never have. The only thing installing monitor drivers MAY do is install a ICC profile that of which most people wouldn't even notice a difference.

Most monitors are all plug and play these days.

I install them based on the issues I've had running HDMI connections from Nvidia cards.

Now I just have to decide what I am going to use for a medium between GPUs and monitor. Should I use HDMI, DVI or Display Port

Honestly for the monitor driver, I experienced no difference with it, heck I just let Windows Update do it for me just because... As for your cable it's best either using DisplayPort or DVI, HDMI as far as I know is simply to use your monitors speakers (if they have any) since it's both audio and video signals inside an HDMI cable. DisplayPort (I don't have one so I may be wrong on this) is allowed to "Daisy-chain" multiple monitors with only 1 cable, so you only need to plug 1 DP cable to your PC while other cables to each monitor. My set up is one has DVI, the one has HDMI (it was a spare cable lying around, and the monitor only came with a VGA cable). Yes I only have two monitors so I can't use NVIDIA Surround or anything like that but my desk forbids me to have enough space for a 3rd one lol.
