Default Problem With Display synchmaster s27b350

Hello.

I changed my display from vga to hdmi, same display and computer.

Now the display has a good inch black bar around the whole perimeter and it will not resize. There is only an auto resize button and it says "unavailable".

I don't want to pay for a 27'' screen and get 25'' out of it. Please help or i'll be forced to use the vga cable again and ubuntu will throw a fit!

Linus2012[/URL]]I purchased Samsung SyncMaster S27B350 monitor few days ago for my Gateway desktop using HDMI cable. Although the display settings is at the recommended state (1920 x 1080) and installed the latest drivers from Samsung web site, the screen doesn't display to it's fullest extent. I also checked Windows Update and seems to indicate that I have all the latest updates. After speaking with Samsung representative, I learned that it's an issue with Windows 7 and HDMI. Microsoft needs to provide the driver support for Samsung monitor and HDMI. I changed the cable to DVI and it seems to work fine and get the full display. Anyone aware of Windows drivers to support Samsung monitor with HDMI or is this another issue of the Samsung representative passing the issue of to someone else?
TRY DVI
