Default Dell UltraSharp U2713H 27” Monitor Review Comment Thread

Dell's new UltraSharp U2713H may be one of this year's best monitors. With an AH-IPS PremierColor panel, an ultra wide color gamut and plenty of other high-end features, it is meant as a replacement for their highly-regarded U2711 and could go head to head against Apple's vaunted Cinema Display line.

I had a feeling that it was going to be a great monitor. That said I just couldn't justify the price over the 2713HM. That said I believe this one will be the one that I recommend to the people at work.

Thanks for the solid review AkG. This one's pretty tempting, but I don't think I can swallow 1000$ for a Monitor. That being said, once this guy goes on sale for closer to 6-700 for the 'H' model. I'll be picking one up.

I need to get a bit more life out of my U2711 before I can justify the jump to a U2713H. This is the first time I have been sad about having a U2711. :(
That being said, perhaps in a year or two if it goes on a good sale I might just have to upgrade.

Just wondering, are you going to get a chance to review the new 30" from Dell?

I'm seeing some very mixed thoughts on the dell website. Some people really complain about this monitor and others love it...

Thanks for the look AkG, I'm sure it's a great console monitor. But 16:10 is where it's at for me. If I want 16:9 I'll use my TV. Especially for a grand.

From my understanding, some people have "issues" with the fact that it uses the Adobe RGB color spectrum.

Any comments about overclocking the panel? Some people report it goes up to 90 Hz

Thanks guys. I just picked one of these bad boys up for myself. That is how much I liked it. One really....really nice thing is there was special on it (might still be on)...so it was not a grand. It was 7 bills. It was on sale for the same sale price as the HM model. Food for thought guys ;)

As for OC'ing it. I did not try. Sorry. My 580 was not 'man' enough to keep it above 60 so it would have been moot. To hit 90 (or even avg above 60) you would need a Titan.
