Dell 21.9 aspect ratio monitor??

It'll obviously look funny at first if you come from a 16:9 or 16:10 monitor, but eventually you'll get used to it. I imagine this would pretty much fill your FOV.

21:9 is what most movies are done at I believe? I know there's been 21:9 TV's launched in Europe and Asia.

Thanks JD. I'm going to get one,and go from there for a decision on whether to hook up three of them. 21.9 IS the ratio for movies. As soon as the 21.9 aspect ratio televisions are available,I'm getting one. They should have built those things years ago.

I freaking love these super wide monitors. For a decade now I've been using dual monitors: Primary and Secondary. I tried triple monitors, but the bezels really ruin it for me. If these ever come out in like a ~40" I will pick one up for sure.

Fullscreen gaming/movies and simulated dual screen for productivity.

I changed my mind guys. After re-reading the specs,I found the actual viewing area is way too small for gaming. The screen is wide enough at 27.30 inches,but the height is only 12.16 inches. That simply does not compare to the 25x 15.50 inch viewing area on the 30 inch I have now. That extra 3 inches in height really makes a difference. So much for that.

As a fellow 30" owner, and a former user of a 3008WFP which I absolutely LOVED, you made the right choice.

Basically with one your field of vision will only fill horizontally, and the vertical resolution will be too small for both gaming and desktop use. The immersion versus a 16:10 30" is severely less.
