Yellow Tint on BenQ E2420HD

Using http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/calibrate the monitor to the best of my abilities, it seems that I can't get rid of the yellow tint on my monitor. The Sharp 17" monitor that I got from like 10 years ago is still producing colours better than my BenQ. Anyone got any suggestions on how I can best fix this?

Have you tried using the Windows calibration too (assuming you're running Windows 7 and up)?

It creates an ICM profile that might help to fix this.

Ya but there's not much to calibrate. And it doesn't seem to be as good as the site. I find that they contradict each other in terms of colour settings.

Is it yellow across the entire screen, or is it localized to an area?

Have you tried the "custom color mode" to alter the RGB settings to change that?

This is usually found in the OSD, then Picture > Color > User Mode. You can also try the reddish/bluish combinations. I used to have one of these, and I found it cold/too blue, not really too yellow.

The windows tool can be ok, but it doesn't do a whole lot, and if it's the color of white that's too yellow, it doesn't help adjust it at all.

That tool generally just helps adjust gamma output to help even out shades of color, not absolute black or white....
