That monitor is great for movies, good for consoles, and fine for normal pace PC gaming. For fast paced FPS it's probably not 100% the best, but otherwise a good combination of characteristics. Sorry for the semi-necro.

I'd prefer a Samsung panel of a BenQ one anyday..

One of those Korean 27" IPS panels should do the trick...

Picked up a 27" Samsung Syncmaster model: S27B350 Samsung S27B350H 27IN Widescreen LED LCD Monitor Black 1920x1080 2MS VGA HDMI

it's perfect for What I do with it, Play FPS online games, Reading, and watching movies
Colors are great, angles of viewing wide
Things that bother me about it is the lack of Screws holes for mounting to a wall mount or arm unit.

Rolling a Samsung P2770HD here. If you can still find one, it can be had for about $350. No shortage of inputs. Max'd at 1920X1080 though. Gaming is great on it. No complaints. Hell, it even has a TV tuner.
