Looking for a New monitor (details inside)

Hi there!

Ive been wanting a new monitor for a very long time and
I received an e-mail from amazon listing some new or just monitors on sale, and i really cannot decide which ones i want to buy. Here is the list of monitors i think i might like, if you have any other suggestions, PLEASE post below.

Monitor Specs Looked for:

- I will be looking at this monitor dead on, not at an angle.

- 1080p.

- Speakers not needed at all, but if it has it, oh well :).

- HDMI (if it does not have it, i can use a different cable)

- Under $250.

- 23 or 24 inch.

IPS options.. I would def go the 1920x1200 if you can afford it, more vertical space is better for almost everything bar movies.

Unfortunately i can only afford anything under $250 preferably $200. From the monitors i linked above, do any of them seem good?

I am seriously impressed with this sub $200 monitor. Brand new, thinnest bezel and 1ms response time, 2 HDMI and no DVI or DP. I think this is targeted towards gamers & multi monitor more than any other display.

That looks like an AMAZING deal, but since its brand new, i dont know if i should wait for reviews :(

You're right you won't find any yet. I'm speaking from my experience with previous Asus monitors and the technical details available that no monitor in this price range equals. I think I found the display for my next eyfinity build.

I can tell you right away that color accuracy and off angle views won't impress because TN panels twice as expensive don't either but that's the trade off. I'll link a review here when I find one and I appreciate any help.

Do you think the colors will be that bad? The main reason why i want to get a new monitor is color, but it cant be that awful right? I also have a friend with one of those expensive color calibrators (if that helps)

TN panel will never be great for colour.

Calibration will improve the colors, but there isn't much you can do.

So that brings us back to square one. What will you be using your monitor for in order of preference?

Gaming (refresh rates, response time)
Movies / TV / Video (brightness and overall picture and screen size)
Photo Work and Editing (color accuracy)
Office / Internet (Overall picture and screen size)
