arrived today, will take me till tomorrow to get the time to set it up!
Allrighty.first off having never seen a monitor this size up and running it was
OMFG at how much real estate you have.
coming from an lg245wp.

monitor is a rev 00 with a manufacture date of august 2012.
-quick tests show zero dead pixels
-very slight backlight bleed in lower left corner
-my lg had worse so no problems there to me
-having to tweak a lot of settings for font sizes in Firefox etc
-so far have turned brightness down to 60 as default was too much for me
no gaming yet so can`t report on a 1.5gig gtx580 on this monster
-as for price i paid list, but that did not matter to me in the end

Lovely review, looks like I'm waiting to get this instead of a 21:9 monitor or the U2711.

Might have to make this my next monitor. Been holding out on upgrading for awhile. Still rocking 1680x1050 viewsonic.

It would also give me a reason to grab a gtx 660ti.

Ive had 2 of these and if youre a designer the criss cross (cross-hatching) is a real problem. As they wouldnt refund me Ive had to go for the u2711. Someone has put up photos on the overclockers UK forum

Just to confirm, this monitor will not support USB over DisplayPort correct?

Smile DELL U2713HM

After searching the net and reading the reviews about various LED monitors of 27" and from BENQ, SAMSUNG, DELL, HP and other brands I ordered DELL U2713HM on 07.11.2012 which is expected to be delivered to me by next week and would write my comments. Hope that I have not done any mistake in selecting the DELL 27" monitor

If anything goes wrong, you can be assured of great tech support from Dell.

I side by sided this with the Auria 27" at Micro Center yesterday and it's no surprise to me which one I went home with. The Dell is spectacular. Build quality is what I've come to expect from a Dell display and this is a worthy replacement to my 2405FPW. I did have one issue with my DVI cable not being a dual cable and had to rush back and buy one, but after that... it's been amazing. It's a little darker out of the box than my old Dell but the gama tests perfect in the games I've tried so far (Namely a heavily edited FO3).

Does anyone recommend making any adjustments to it's "out of the box" settings?
